The 1080p plasma TV offers amazing color reproduction resulting in impressive contrast and great natural colors. A treat to the eye, the Panasonic TH42PZ80U delivers vivid colors, accurate and detailed skin tones and sceneries. The plasma TV, which keeps up with innovation, also features a new anti-reflective filter to protect the eyes of viewers. The technology was a step up from Panasonic's anti-glare filter. It also has Deep Color technology that shows bold realistic colors. To maximize its entertainment functions, the plasma TV includes video noise reduction, motion adaptive 3D Y/C digital comb filter, 3D color management, sub pixel control and motion pattern noise reduction. A digital comb filter makes the colors look purer even if the users are watching standard broadcast, recorded video and other media sources. A 3d color management feature helps control color differences and brightness levels to show expressive and vibrant images.

Having three HDMI inputs, the Panasonic TH42PZ80U becomes the center of the home entertainment set as it can connect to media players, stereo systems and gaming consoles easily. Now, users get to enjoy movies and games on high-definition display�without having to connect and reconnect various multimedia devices.

The 42-inch plasma TV features GalleryPlayer software, which enables the viewers to enjoy great high definition art and photography. The software also supports the upload of images that you can appreciate and see more clearly on the Panasonic TH42PZ80U. The plasma TV also has a SecureDigital slot to allow users to upload JPEG images and subsequently using a slideshow to view them.

Made using the G11 Progressive 1080p HD plasma display panel, the plasma TV has a contrast ratio of 16:9, which is the international standard HDTV format used in Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. A 16:9 TV allows viewers to watch in full-widescreen comfort instead of a cramped 4:3 aspect ratio. The Panasonic TH42PZ80U has 20000:1 contrast ratio, has ATSC and NTSC input video signals, and built-in speakers. The plasma TV is also designed with S-video, audio, component video, HDMI in and analog audio inputs. It also includes composite video, analog audio, digital audio outputs.
