Our Biostar TA690GAM2 Socket AM2 is ready for high-definition video and graphics technology, including HD-DV, Blu-Ray, HDCP, HDMI, and ATI Radeon X1250. This affordable Micro ATX platform is built for AMD Athlon 64 X2/64/Sempron processors with HyperTransport up to 2G. Based on the AMD R690G + SB600 chipset, the Biostar TA690GAM2 supports dual-channel DDR2 400/533/667/800MHz up to 4GB, PCI-E x1, PCI-E x16, DIV-D port 9 (digital signal output only), HDMI, USB 2.0, SATA2, RAID 0, 1, 10, S/PDIF, 8+2-channel HD audio, ATI Radeon X1250 onboard graphics (maximum memory share 512MB), and Realtek 8111B (PCI-E) Integrated 10/100/1000 LAN.

	HDMI™ Interface HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the first and only industry-supported, uncompressed, all digital audio and video interface via a single cable and is HDCP compliant allowing playback of HD DVD, Blu-ray Disc and other protected content.
	Socket This motherboard features a Socket AM2 design. The Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) style socket makes it easy to install and upgrade your processor.
	Chipset The TA690G-AM2 motherboard is based on the AMD 690G Northbridge chipset and the AMD SB600 Southbridge chipset. It supports AMD Athlon64 X2, Athlon 64 FX, Athlon64 and Sempron Processors, with Hyper-Threading Technology and 1000MHz (2000 MT/s) Front Side Bus support.
	Memory Expansion The TA690G-AM2 provides 4 DIMM sockets using Dual Channel 240-pin DDR2 with a total capacity of up to 4GB-32bit. You can install DDR2 400/533/667/800MHz Memory.
	PCI Express Support The TA690G-AM2 fully supports PCI Express, the latest I/O interconnect technology that speeds up the PCI bus. PCI Express features point-to-point serial interconnections between devices and allows higher clockspeeds by carrying data in packets. This high-speed interface is software compatible with existing PCI specifications.
	IDE The TA690G-AM2 includes built in IDE facilities that support Ultra ATA 100.
	Audio The TA690G-AM2 comes with a Realtek ALC888 HD audio codec which supports high quality 8-channel audio.
	Serial ATA RAID Support The TA690G-AM2 supports the Serial ATA technology through the Serial ATA interfaces. Doubles bus bandwidth which provides blazingly high disk performance, up to 3.0Gb/s, with RAID 0, 1 and 10 solutions
	Gigabit LAN The on-board LAN controller is a highly integrated GbLAN controller. It is enhanced with an ACPI management function to provide efficient power management for advanced operating systems.
